One of New York City’s most prolific and unique outsider voices, Maharadja Sweets presents a fascinating suite of sonic miniatures. Following the stargazing “The Caprice of Young Gods,” “Slithering Kingdoms” sticks its nose in the grass to find inspiration between the blades. Pointillistic percussion and stuttering samples bring to mind dotted trails of ants and time-lapse footage of flowers blooming, while the minimalist composition and limited sonic palette recall the simplicity of a well-tended rock garden.

I don't just love this album, its almost certainly in my Top 10 albums of all time (like those other 200 or so corkers lol) but this is splendid.
